The Intrepid Trio returns with tons of news and minus one Eric plus one Aaron. The show hits the ground running with Mike going on a rant about how Marvel handles the distribution of action figure covers. Trust me, this is only the beginning. After calming for a bit, Mike breaks out the cards for a round of Might Marvel Geeks Family Feud. He then segues into the recap for this week’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. “The Man Behind the Shield”. It was an action packed episode! Our guest Aaron then present’s an article about the upcoming six-week hiatus that AoS is about to take. Kylan and Mike both had quite a bit to add to that one. Kylan then follows up with a discussion about the latest trailer for Logan that feature’s X-23.Talk about intense!! Aaron then shares an article about new casting announcements for the upcoming show Cloak and Dagger. Keeping this somewhat in the comic world, Kylan discusses an article about the upcoming book Peter Parker: The Spectacular Spiderman. Mike then closes the news, but kind of continues his rant with his news story about Secret Empire #0. The guys then take it to the comic shop for the POW(Picks Of the Week).

Hey there, true believers!! Strap in and get ready for another globe trotting issue of Mighty Marvel Geeks. This one starts off with Mike sharing a story from the sports world! Spyder is teaming up with Marvel in a big way!! You guys will not believe it when you hear the news! Eric then follows up with an interesting article about last week’s Super Bowl ads, Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2 and who the biggest winner was…and it was not the ones on the field! Then, Kylan brings in the recap from Episode 13 of season 4’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., “Boom”. This one is explosive and action packed. And, yet, there’s so much more to go!! Mike and Eric join in and the discussion tangents to inspiration of certain villains and the presence of Captain America adjacent heroes. Eric then follows up with an article regarding MCU Villains, we’re looking at you, Loki! Kylan then closes out the news segment with a piece about a rumor going around that Marvel is about to return to the status quo. The Intrepid Trio all weighed in, having seen the changes and discussed many times their thoughts on the matter. The guys then took it to the comic shop for their (P.O.W.) Picks Of the Week.

This weeks issue kicks off with Eric and Kylan squaring off in three rounds of Mighty Marvel Geeks Feud! The answers just keep getting crazier!! Mike, Kylan, and Eric hit the ground running with this week’s recap of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. an adjacent story of how the third “pod” or story line is going to be rewarding and flip the show on it’s side! From there Mike jumped into it with an article about the official casting choices for the upcoming series Cloak and Dagger. Keeping it in the TV world, Eric presents a story about the cast of the upcoming Runaways series. Kylan then closes out the news segment with a piece that ties Darth Maul to Episode VIII. Eric bring us the Marvel Unlimited POW(Pick Of the Week) and the team heads to the comic shop!

The Intrepid Trio is without Eric this week. Looks like Hydra has resorted to food poisoning…instead of taking SHIELD agents out, they just like to inconvenience us, now! At any rate we have Zeek from the Behind The Magic podcast to join as a guest. Mike surprised us with a new segment of the show called Mighty Marvel Feud!! Give it a listen and tell us what you think! At first the week seemed to be pretty light news-wise, until we saw the Marvel’s Doctor Strange got an Oscar nod for special effects!! Mike shared this story but we all were happy that the film did get some respect for it’s vision! Kylan then joined in with the weekly summary for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. The 11th episode of the season is titled “Wake Up” and there is plenty going on to keep you riveted to your seat! Mike then followed up with a story about Cloak and Dagger and the casting choices as well as the character overview. They make some bold and interesting choices! Zeek then shared with us a story about two trailers that Disney is going to release during the half time show. We’re certain that one will be The Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 but, as far as the second one? Maybe Pirates of the Caribbean? After that Mike breaks down a story about the new X-men universe series that is coming to television. From there Zeek jumps into a news story about One of Disney’s cruise ship that is like the Marvel universe on wheels. Zeek even offered to give us a review because he plans on going! Kylan then finished things off with a report about the new Avengers came that is being released be Square Enix and Marvel!

 

Kylan had the Marvel Unlimited P.O.W.(Pick Of the Week)-Ant-Man 1-5(2015). After that, they went to the Comic Shop!

Together again at full strength and bring you the latest Marvel news are Mike, Kylan, and Eric, your Intrepid Trio! There were some big stories this week and they guys hit the ground running!! Dan Buckley was announced as the new President of Marvel Entertainment Eric points out that Dan is a familiar name for Marvel fans and it is good to see him get this promotion. Along with a new President, we also were treated to a new red band trailer for Logan. The guys all agree that this is looking like the Wolverine movie that we have always wanted. Staying in the movie world, Kylan presents a story about Peter Dinklage possibly being in talks to have a “major role” Avengers: Infinity War. Right now it is just talk, but there are a few possibilities of roles that he could play in the MCU. From there, Mike looks at the possible leak within S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Has hit the ground running since it’s return from the holiday hiatus, and they are not pulling any punches. Kylan then shares news of a new ongoing Black Panther series called Black Panther and the Crew. This will be the 3rd BP title and the concept alone is pretty interesting. Eric then wraps up the news segment with a somewhat biased story about the decrease in Marvel sales towrd the end of last year. Mike and Kylan weigh in on the matter, too. Happy New Year and welcome back, our fellow Marvelites!! The Intrepid Trio is back on duty and we have also brought a guest along for our first show of 2017…2016 Mighty Marvel Geeks Non Award Winner for Best Artist, Ramon Perez!! Eric, Mike, and Kylan hit the ground running with talking about his newest book Nova. The conversation begins at the beginning, but then takes off in every direction possible! From there the talk goes into his time with Civil War: Choosing Sides and his iconic issue during that run. It also segues into how certain Marvel title fair north of the border and how one certain team does not get the love that it deserves. The talk then goes into what title, if given the opportunity to bring back a certain team, would Romon jump on without hesitation. Let’s just say that, if Marvel management is listening, there are three peopelk who would be all over that book from day one! Settle in everyone!! It is time for the Mighty Marvel Geeks Non-Awards for 2016!! Where did all the time go? The Intrepid Trio is joined by John Donahue of the Dis Parks Podcast and Dale Wentland of the D-Cast to discuss and debate the nominees and winners. This year’s catagories were expanded to include Best New Title, Best Netflix Series, and Best Crossover Event. There were some surprises, some dark horses, and some obvious winners. Let’s just say that a book being cancelled is not the kiss of death if the quality is there!! The one thing that was plain to see was that Marvel did it big in 2016 and we can only expect to see more of the same in 2017! Give the show a listen and let us know what you think. Because we had a guest with us in the Above-Groung-Under-Water-Sub-Orbital-Volcano-Lair, we missed out on doing out Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. breakdown. So, this time we are doing Episodes 7 and 8 of Season 4 “Deals With Our Devils” and “The Laws of Inferno Dynamics”. Eric kicks it off with a step by step breakdown, but then Mike and Kylan join in to discuss what this can mean down the road. Not only for a Darkhold reading Life Model Decoy, but also for two of our favorite agents, Phil and Melinda. Mike brings that story and the juicy gossip that goes with it! From there, Kylan Brings in an interesting piece about the possibility of “Damage Control” being introduced in Spiderman: Homecoming.
