MMG Issue 127: Giant Sized Power Of Iron With David Walker

This week the Intrepid Trio opens the doors of the Above-Ground-Underwater-Sub-orbital-Volcano-Lair to Marvel writer extraordinaire. From the beginning, the question start and David takes them and runs with it. He expounds upon his early assignments with Marvel, which leads to a discussion about his award winning work pre-Marvel. He even takes us back to his childhood to explain the reasoning behind some of his writing choices. There is no doubt that he has been a lover of all things Marvel from way back. He brings us back to the present and gives an insiders view of the friendship between him and artistic partner Sanford Green(It may be a good time to go back a few issues to listen to that interview again). From there he gets cryptic about what is in store for Luke and Danny in Power Man and Iron Fist. Then, the conversation moves to his work on Nighthawk. The only question that needs to be asked is “How?” and David takes it and goes from editorial expectations to where does it go after the intense initial arc. After a bit more discussion David comes along with the Trio on their trip to the comic shop for the Picks of the Week (POW)!

But, never fear, Mike and Kylan have things under control at the Above-Ground-Underwater-Sub-Orbital-Volcano-Lair! Mike comes out of the gate with a story that puts a big question mark on who we might be seeing in this season’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Kylan keeps it with one of our favorite shows as he shares an article asking if AoS sank the possibility of an Inhumans movie. Moving from the small screen to parks, Mike brings a piece about a rumor that More
