Mighty Marvel Geeks 161: What If, There Was A Roundtable

Mighty Marvel Geeks 161: What If, There Was A Roundtable

What if…there was a roundtable? The Intrepid Trio mix it up this week with a roundtable discussion about Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. For the spirited discussion they bring in Imram from The Jock and Nerd Podcast, Cody from The Mouse Knows Best Podcast, and Patrick from the Around the Hub Podcast. But, before the talk can begin Mike starts a round of Mighty Marvel Geeks Feud. What a question!! Then, the talk commences and goes everywhere and does not stop. From the “three pod” structure of season four to the villain of the week beginning from season one, they talk about it all. Even the organizational structure of Hydra is not safe from scrutiny! And the questions created by the framework and the kind of ride that we may be headed on may make for an explosive ending if any of what is said holds true. The guys then go to the comic shop for thei Picks of the Week!

Mighty Marvel Geeks 160: Slow Gets You Pulled Pork

Your Intrepid Trio is on cocked, locked, and ready to rock you with that Mighty Marvel News that you need! The show starts with a Kylan Rant. This is more or less a continuation from a story last week tied to the first four episodes of Marvel’s Iron Fist that he had watched. Mike and Eric join in and, be warned, they all take it there. Mike then follows up the rant with an article about how the show runner was not aware of the controversy of Finn Jones being cast as Danny Rand. They guys all have their say on this one, too! The news then moves to the MCU with an interesting article about how Chris Hemsworth and Mark Ruffalo were worried that they may have been fired when Thor and Hulk did not appear in Captain America: Civil War. Kylan then keeps it in the MCU with a piece about Chris Evans leaving the Living Legend behind after Avengers: Infinity War. He gives some great reasons and although we’ll hate to see him go, it is a great run! The news then moves to comics with Mike sharing an article about Jeff Lemire leaving Marvel. It seem like there’s a lot to this story, give it a listen and tell us what you think. Eric then wraps up the news segment with an article about the upcoming mega event Secret Empire and what it’ll mean for Marvel. Ultimately, we all agreed that we were tired of the nonstop crossover events. It has become too much. From there we talked about our POW(Picks Of the Week)!

And, in light of Power Man and Iron Fist ending, marvel is spinning Danny Rand off into his own series Iron Fist on March 22nd. Mike follows up with an interesting article that ranks the top 15 Marvel video games. Did any of yours make this list? The Show then moves into the cinematic universe with the first pictured from Thor: Ragnarok. Thor, Hela, and The Grandmaster are all present, but we’re all waiting to see Hulk!
